3rd Annual Pee Wee's BIG Weekend! 5/28 &5/29, 2011

"Simone: I know you're right, Pee-wee, but...
Pee-wee: But what? Everyone I know has a big "But...? C'mon, Simone, let's talk about *your* big "But"."

There are a fond of a few things in this town-movies,beer and dressing in silly costumes to name a few.
But the bicycle- oh the bicycle- how we love the bicycle!
It is with our love of two wheeled chariots in mind that Fleur de
Lethal Cinematheque brings Pee Wee's Big Adventure to
The Bagdad Theater May 28th and 29th
for the 3rd Annual Pee Wee's Big Weekend

In keeping with tradition we provide 2 screenings-
A late night for big kids and a family friendly matinee.
As with all Fleur de Lethal screenings the movie is only HALF the show!
This time, bust out your gray suits and Amazing Larry Hawaiian shirts
to enter our costume contest and limber up your toes for the "tequila" dance off!!

This screening goes out to the kids, the kid in all of us and the willingness
to go to the end of the earth for something you love...especially your bike.

"Sing Out!" Hedwig and The Angry Inch- March 24th 2011

Wear it up- Let it down-This is the best way that I've found-to be the best you've ever seen."

Fleur de Lethal Cinematheque hosts it's 2nd Annual Sing Out! screening of this epic tale of lost love,
lost parts and the trans formative power of an amazing hair-do.

As always with FdL screenings, the movie is only half the show
and the night will also play host to a Costume Contest- So get out that blonde wig (or your butchers apron)
and glitter those eyelids for a chance to win cash and prizes.

From The Instigatrix: This screening is dedicated to everyone who has felt like they didn't fit in, were outcast or on the outside and found their salvation in singing, dancing and rock and roll.-NB

The "Sing Out" Series

With the rise of shows like GLEE and an ever increasing roster of musical titles being added to
Hollywood's production schedules it is safe to say- The Movie Musical is BACK.

The "Sing Out!" Series is a collection of music based films and musicals that though not
deemed a "sing a long" are certainly films we love to sing to.
Ridiculous, outlandish, lavish, lovely and not plausible-musicals ask us to suspend our disbelief
and embrace not the realities of life as it is but the fantasy of life as it could be
( and if you ask FdL curator Nico Bella "Life as it SHOULD be")

The 2011 Sing Out Calendar includes ,Singin' in The Rain,Grease 2,
The 4th Annual Moulin Rouge Spectacular Spectacle and many more...
These unique screenings encourage audience participation
So when you come out to a show dress up,dance, holler, laugh and most important- SING!
